Rihards Zaļupe scores Tumšā robeža (The Dark Border), the Latvian historical spy thriller directed by Andrejs Ēķis.

His score is designed to convey all the dramatic tension, suspense and geopolitical anxiety of the film.

1938. Latvia. Ilmārs Blanks arrives in the border town of Druvany under the guise of a journalist to find the pilot of a downed Russian reconnaissance plane and recover sensitive information. He also hopes to find the Russian spy who killed his lover. The border is not a peaceful place and success is variable.
